Last year’s big prank seemed to be toilet papering. Each Monday it seems you would hear of someone’s house getting hit. Sometimes it was the same person and other times it could have been multiple people in one night.
“It’s fun and really funny and usually starts prank wars,” said junior Megan Robson. That seems to be the main reason why teenagers pull pranks. It could be anything from just a joke at school to a “snow” covered house the next morning. “I do it for the thrill, for the excitement,” said junior Kendell Kane.
Pranks have even gotten so big that there’s a show on MTV called "High School Stories," about high school scandals, pranks and controversies. People are pranking people all over the world.
Sometimes pranks even go too far. “The dead deer on the top of someone’s car was pretty good” sophomore Matt Johnson and Robson agreed. To me, that’s just disgusting.
In other cases, they can just be funny. “I got 96 rolls of T.P. around my house” said Robson. “I walked outside at two in the morning and found my house completely covered with toilet paper. Yes, they got me good,” said Johnson.
“The best prank I’ve done is toilet papering Nick White’s house last year. We Saran Wrapped his porch and mailbox, forked his yard, put shaving cream all over the sidewalk, and put tampons in the trees,” stated Robson.
“I threw fireworks in someone’s driveway at 4 a.m. and put eggs underneath their car seat,” Kane replied as his best prank. “I would suggest not doing the egg thing, it smells horrible after a hot summer day and makes the person extremely angry, trust me,” said junior Kelsey Price.
For this year, Robson, Kane and Johnson all see the pranks coming back. “I don’t think they’ll ever die,” Robson said. So expect to see some “snow” covered houses and hear about many pranks the rest of this year.
But as for the price, toilet papering could get costly. If you go with the cheap brand of toilet paper you could only be spending around $15, depending on how much toilet paper you actually need.
And as a side note, make sure the person’s parent is okay with what you're doing because you could make them very angry. But it is fun to make your friends clean up the mess you’ve made.
