The helpers involved in the clean up pose. -
After several times of rescheduling the Adopt a Highway Cleanup, FFF members finally got together on Wednesday, May 24 to clean up parts of Highway 57. Eighteen members participated from 3:15 until 4:20 cleaning and bagging four different sections of the highway from Tornado Road, past Southern Door to Renard’s Cheese.

Originally, once the highway cleanup part was done, everyone planned to clean up a local resident’s yard. However, by the time the highway cleanup was rescheduled, the selected resident had already cleaned up her own yard. So, once the highway was perfected, everyone enjoyed a bowl of ice cream and some juice instead. After that, those who hung around partook in an intense game of kickball.

Players formed teams of 12 to 3. Kelby W. kicked two home runs while Cindi W. was the all time pitcher. Mrs. Follen even got into the game and scored two runs. Mitchell K. definitely gave the game some extra spunk. Overall, it was a great night to participate in another fun-filled FFA event.

Senior Cindi W says, “FFA has greatly changed over the years I’ve been in it, and this year has proven to be a monumental year. With this event, only six people signed up after the many cancellations but the FFA members pulled through once again.”
