High school is over-there's no turning back-all of our mistakes are over with and somehow we are all better due to them. We've made friendships we swear will never end and have learned as much as we wanted to. The door of this school with all of its opportunities for us and all the security of Southern Door is gone. We have to leave now; we've all got to climb through the little window into the world.

We've all got plans in mind, we need to climb out and try to do it by ourselves. Scary I know, but it's all a matter of how much you've learned and how hard you'll work to succeed. The funny thing is, we’ve all complained about being in a small town with little to do and tons of gossip. But here, everyone knew us, all we did or didn't do, and what we've stood for; now, we have to start over with a fresh start on top of a world where everyone's fighting to fit in somewhere and no one knows us, not even ourselves. The question is what did you learn from your last 12 years of school? Did you learn strictly what's taught in textbooks or something greater? What you've learned here or experienced is what we've all got to use when we leave, there's no security blanket or close friends, family, or dedicated teachers everywhere. Think about what you've learned and how you'll use it.

I learned so much the last 12 years about myself, this community, life, and my friends. I learned no matter who you are, no matter how smart you are or how successful you become, you must not forget all those who helped you make it. We all know we didn't make it this far without assistance- that's impossible, so say thanks to those who helped you stand when you wanted to fall or made you shine when your glimmer was only dim. Be thankful for all the little things, the smiles, the laughs, and the tons of memories shared here. But most of all don't forget any little thing that happened here, the good and the bad. Memories and knowledge fuel the future.

We are the future, so never forget and be thankful for every moment. I know I'm excited to leave, to start looking for a place where I completely fit. Open the window, crawl out, remember the past and rejoice for the world is finally in our hands. Grab hold of your new, yet scary freedom and chance for success- work hard and never forget what Southern Door and all your experiences have taught you. One last thing, thank you to all those who polished and pushed me in the past, because now I am ready to climb through the window and start over...

Good Bye Southern Door :) Thanks for Everything!!!
