Well, Jimmy. Looks like 3 1/2 years of waiting have come to an end! - Jillian Jones

Like so many of the other recent big selling book series, Eragon, the epic tale of a poor farm boy becoming a dragon rider in a land at war, came to a close with its final book, Inheritance, released on November 8. This book marks the end of 13 years of work for the series’ creator, Christopher Paolini, who was just 15 when he began working on the first book, Eragon. While he intended to end the series with the last book, originally titled Empire, he eventually realized that there was simply too much for one book to hold. Therefore, Empire, became Brisingr, and the Inheritance Trilogy became the Inheritance Cycle.

This final book will bring a story nine years in the making to an end, for better or worse. The fate of the realm of Alagaesia, the mystical land where the story takes place, depends on the hero Eragon and his dragon Saphira. With a set up akin to other famous fantasy works, such as the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, it is no surprise that many fans spent years eagerly awaiting the release of this long awaited conclusion to a legendary series.
