This is the first part of the two part conclusion of the Harry Potter phenomenon. Harry Potter is all grown up and hes tired of people sacrificing themselves and dying for him; so he, Hermione and Ron set off on a journey to find a way to defeat Voldemort once and for all. This’ is the first movie where Harry and his team don't set foot on Hogwarts grounds. That doesn't take away from the beauty of the places they do visit, visually stunning the clarity of the picture is aw inspiring. The crystal clear beauty gives the movie an unprecedented level of realism and conscious thought process. The settings of the movie include cities, halls, mountains, towns and rivers; all that drip with their own sense of emotion. The environment, always seems to reflect the emotional tone of the movie, the mountain and the river both dripped with the seeming hopelessness of the situation, even the water beamed with a sense of sadness that echoed to the heart of the viewers. The snow fell with the grace and tranquility of something that new it was apart of something bigger than itself. The Sky lights up with the blue light of thought or the dark night of fear. The air was always tense or sympathetic, their was always a sense of watching someone who is young and over his head try to accomplish something great.
This movie puts Harry in more real world environments instead of a magical kingdom hat you cant reach, the change in scene only serves to enhance the over all feel of the movie. The characters have their own emotions about their current predicament and they do explode and let you in. Now this movie isn't perfect, the only problem with it is that Harry Potter still only knows like five spells, its hard to believe he’s been schooled by all these different teachers and spent years in a magical institute and only learned five spells.
