The Lady Panthers defeated the B-CC Barons 48-47, in a game that came down to the final seconds. After leading at the half 21-19, the Lady Panthers found themselves facing a six -point deficit with 1:13 left in regulation. However, the Lady Panthers cut the lead in half as senior Kristina Straub assembled a three-point play. The next three points to tie the game were accredited to Khalilah Quigley as she put together a clutch field goal, a steal, and a foul shot. The Lady Barons replied with a left handed lay-up to create a two point lead with just 21 seconds remaining in the game.

Optimism started to fade as the Lady Panthers could not score and B-CC forced a jump ball with only

5.5 seconds remaining and gained possession. Junior Ashleigh Council tipped the throw-in and the ball found its way to senior Omega Boddie. Boddie missed a shot but drew a foul with 1.2 seconds left on the clock. Boddie cut the lead to one by sinking her first free throw. She missed the second and again Council came to the rescue by speedily scooping up the loose ball and hoisting a last second buzzer-beater to give the Lady Panthers a surprising and hard-fought win. The win was the Lady Panthers’ eighth in a row and raised their record to 14-3.
