but what about the actual festivites? The question remains, who is preparing the event? Well, your sponsors are working hard to make this year’s homecoming one to remember.

Ms. Leslie Greene, 10th grade SGA sponsor, wants to fill everyone in on what the behind the scenes preparation looks like, “the SGA sets up times , dates , and organization for homecoming. What hall [who] will have, [and] the parade and float information.” There’s only one way to express the amount of work SGA has to do for homecoming… A LOT!! The sponsors have a lot of organizing, discussing, building, designing, and fund-raising to do. Ms.Greene advises students, “to make [homecoming] a great time and just enjoy the spirit and excitement.”

The actual sponsors of the dance aren’t SGA but the jazz singers. This year’s theme is “A Night on The Town.” The individual class themes are New York–Seniors;Los Angeles-Juniors;Venice- Sophmores; and Freshman - Honolulu. The dance will be decorated New Orleans style! Ms. Mitchell, jazz club sponsor, supplied Panthers with a few words of wisdom,

“...dress nicely, it’s really hot so don’t wear warm clothing (wool!), and 1200 people come, so it’s a good idea not to carry too much stuff.” Tickets are $17 for singles and $34 for couples. Well there you have it Panthers. Come one, come all because this year’s Homecoming will be a great ball!
