Whether it’s the grocery store, mall, or Paint Branch, wherever I go, I see girls wear clothes that are just too tight, having made poor fashion choices myself and having to have been told so by others. No matter what size or shape you are, it is not flattering to wear your clothes two sizes too small. So why do girls wear clothes that are too tight? Well, there are multiple answers to and explanations for this occurrence. Maybe they find that having “muffin tops,” the roll of fat that hangs over the top of a girl’s jeans, is an attractive sight or perhaps the people who have “muffin tops” are oblivious to the fact of even having one. Whatever the reason is, it needs to stop. Being part of a female’s nature, being presentable and attractive is what the majority of us want. Unfortunately, in today’s society tight clothing is almost always what one thinks of wearing when trying to look appealing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to wear an outfit that compliments your features, but if that involves constricting certain body parts to show off all of your assets, it’s just not worth it. Some tight wearing fashions don’ts include the following: wearing leggings as a substitute for pants or jeans and wearing a tight-on-tight combination. That means having on both a tight shirt and tight pair of jeans in the same outfit. I’m not quite sure if it’s a self-confidence issue whether they either have too much or too little confidence, but for some people it might be harder and even a little disheartening to go up to their actual jean and shirt size. It looks better and even slimmer when people wear appropriate fitting clothes rather than clothes that cause unflattering anomalies. No matter what your situation or size is there is a style for you out there. The styles change every month and, just because something’s in style now, every style doesn’t have to be your style. So please, for our sake and yours, go out there and find a trend in clothing that not only fits you but also flatters to whatever body type you are.
