The Paint Branch lacrosse team pulled out a thrilling overtime win against Poolesville on April 27. The Panthers scored two quick goals. In the second quarter the Falcons responded with one goal after the next tying the score at 2. In the last few minutes of the fourth quarter, Poolesville tied the game at 9. The four-minute sudden death overtime brought extremely hard play and tough fighting from each team. With less than a minute left in overtime, the Panthers gained control of the ball and set up in their offense. Senior captain Eric Schell passed to senior Mike Barnes who scored to win the game.

The Panthers stand at 6-4 after a win against Seneca Valley. Their other wins have come against Wheaton, Kennedy, Einstein, and Rockville. With two regular season games left for the Panthers, the postseason is right around the corner. The Panthers are led by senior captain Brent Stewart, who has the most goals for the Panthers this season. Other notable players include Schell who will play for the Air Force Academy next year and junior Alex Pelzer.
