Lights! Camera! Action! Senior, Sergy Sarkisyan's flair and passion for the art of acting and modeling has laid down the foundations for his promising career in the entertainment industry. He is best known for his roles in drama productions as a drunk in ‘The Streetcar Named Desire’, a homosexual man in ‘Confessions of an Average Teenage Cheerleader II’, Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘15 Minute Hamlet’, and Hamlet in ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead’. But to his friends, and his “incredible, unforgettable, beautiful, amazing girlfriend”, he is known as the typical high school Senior with a fun and care-free personality and a modeling job on the side.

Sergy’s flair for acting began in the sixth grade, but did not become serious until his Sophomore year at Beckman. He reflects, “So I guess it was passion that led me to drama because I love acting, especially when I got back into it with Beckman drama!” Sergy’s first role for a Beckman drama production had him wearing a Speedo in front of an audience in ‘Confessions of an Average Cheerleader I’. “It was a funny experience”, he reflects. Besides the fun of parading on stage in a Speedo, Sergy admits that his favorite character to play was the homosexual guy. “It was just so funny to see everyone’s reaction at rehearsals while I was acting gay,” he reflects. “It was pretty hard to connect with that character, but after some hard work, it felt as though I had a one-on-one connection with my feminine side." Sergy adds with a smile.

Besides being a part of Beckman’s drama department, Sergy used to play water polo and swim, winning awards for his talents and efforts. But, like many Senior athletes, Sergy decided to resign. “Senior year, I decided to take it easy and put more of my effort and focus on things in Los Angeles,” he said.

These concentrated efforts have indeed paid off, as Sergy has recently acquired modeling, acting, and commercial agents from OSBrink. Sergy says that he will model anything he can get his hands on. He exclaims, “If there are any job opportunities out there that I am able to get, I will grab them like a drowning victim grabbing for his life!” Sergy has had two job offers so far. One for AT&T, in which he did a photo shoot with one of their cell phones, and the other for a website, www.Promadvice.com. Additionally, Sergy was featured on The Fray’s “How to Save a Life” music video, directed by Mark Pellingtion. Sergy’s agent had him audition for the video, although Sergy was unaware of who the band was. “I was like ‘Who are The Fray?’ not knowing that I loved all of their songs, and that I have heard them on the radio for the longest time,” he said. The experience on a music video set with a world class band is, of course, truly rewarding. “I got to meet Mark Pellington, an amazing director. I also got to talk to The Fray themselves!! Great guys… they even gave me two tickets to see their show,” Sergy said happily.

As for his future, Sergy wishes to continue with acting and modeling as long as he can, but wants to major in pre-dentistry and either business or economics. “So, hey! Guess what?” he exclaims, “You could come to my clinic and we can pull out your teeth, give you braces, and even get an autograph from me!”
