Barack Obama has been called incompetent by his opposition probably thousands of times, but the sad part is many of Obama’s former supporters are now complaining about his incompetence.  I have three words for you people: you elected him. 

            McCain supporters can complain about Obama’s misdoings since they did not vote him into the esteemed office of President.  The so called Obama supporters, who are now regretting their four year decision, are now voicing their distaste with Obama’s first hundred days should not only be disgusted with him, but they should be disgusted with themselves.

            Barack Obama has enacted several policies that many of the American people are opposed to.  For instance, signing the $787 billion stimulus package has made big corporate CEO’s run their corporations into the ground, and Obama has rewarded them for their incompetence and given them a piece of the economic stimulus package.

            Not only that but Obama has dished out even more money to American International Group (AIG) - a now defunct insurance company that has gotten over 100 billion dollars of the taxpayers money and still wants more - and Obama and the administration keeps on shelling out the cash.  The company’s only excuses are that they needed to give out ten million dollar bonuses so they could keep the talent within their companies.  Although the Obama administration did speak out against million dollar bonuses, they let them happen.

            This is particularly ironic because the people getting the extra big bonuses are the people who ran the companies into the ground, so what talent do they actually have?  They have to take the taxpayers money so they can get rich.  This recent rise in bailout money has proven to be a “get rich quick” scheme for big companies like AIG who just, after getting 85 billion dollars, immediately turned around and sent their executives on a multimillion dollar retreat to an exotic resort.

            One good thing Obama has done is limiting the salary of the CEO’s that are receiving government/taxpayer money to a measely 500,000 dollars.

            Another recent White House administration faux-pas is deciding to fly three planes over the Statue of Liberty to get a photo opp. of Air Force one.  The cruelest part of this was that the White House told no one that there would be three planes flying over New York City as low as they were on the infamous morning of 9-11.

            The incident caused widespread panic in New York City; there were even reports of people fleeing apartment buildings and schools.  So far all the White House has done is issue an informal apology directed at the incident.

            So if asked if Obama is incompetent, many people would agree and say yes.  Given the information above, I would also concur that Obama is incompetent.  So what should be done? 

            Obama should be educated by someone on how to properly deal with situations that are thrown at him in the White House.  He needs to remember that this is not the Senate; he cannot just push a button on his desk that says he is there but not voting.  He has to give his opinion or signature on every topic that comes into his office.

            So people of America support Barack Obama.  Not only because he needs it, but because he is your president and he deserves the support of his people.  You might not have voted for him, but you have to live under him so give him his due and help him out.
