Arbor View students are excited for five days of fun in the sun, sleeping in, and endless hours at the mall and movie theaters. For all of us who have been looking forward to this week since the beginning of school, the wait is over and it’s finally here!  Spring Break has arrived.

Arbor View students are excited about this years’ spring break, (which seems to come weeks later than it did last year).  For teachers, it’s a time to get rid of students, and is a great chance to get caught up and prepared to enter the last and final quarter of the year.  According to Mr. Hayden, he’s more excited to get a break from the teachers than from the students. “It’s time for a break, for both teachers and students.  Both have worked hard, and hopefully this time off will allow students to refocus on the last quarter and help teachers and administration in allowing them get work done as well as getting ready for ending this year.”

In speaking with various Arbor View students, their plans for Spring Break are to visit colleges, travel to Disney Land and Magic Mountain, go camping, visit family, and even just sleep.

Students and teachers alike seem to be ready for the break, having their flight tickets ready and their bags packed. Freshman Studies teachers Mr. Cooper says he will be spending his time with his girlfriend in Boston for the home Celtics game.  “Though I’m not a Celtics fan, my girlfriend is, so I have to attend this game with her. After the game we plan to go to California and relax on the beach”.

Arbor View freshman Amy Beihl says she will spend her time with her family members out of town, but will miss being in school and doing school work.  She loves her teachers and classes and will greatly miss them when school ends.  “Hopefully I don’t get a lot of homework”, she joked.

As students prepare to leave, Mr. Hayden has one last message. “Students- have fun, and enjoy yourselves.  Be ready to come back. Don’t forget what you’ve learned and be safe.  Have a great Spring Break!”

For those of us who are keeping track, upon our return from Spring Break, there will only be 38 SCHOOL DAYS remaining! Let the countdown begin!
