Nothing in life is perfect. However, certain people believe that anything can be perfect. It is only human to make mistakes. Perfectionists are always striving for the best.

A perfectionist believes that everything should be an over achievement. People who do not work as hard as they are capable of are considered to be disrespectful. Perfectionism can be thought of in two ways. Sometimes perfectionism is just like setting a goal and getting something done. It may be considered an accomplishment. On the other hand, there is a sense of perfectionism that is annoying. “Perfectionists are crazy,” said Courtney Anderson. For example, there is always a kid that argues about what is wrong. They will push for a 98% rather than leaving it as a 96%.

There are considered to be two types of perfectionist. There are Normal perfectionists and then there are Neurotic perfectionists. A Normal Perfections is one who goes through life trying their best. Their goal is to accomplish everyday issues that require work.”It is always good to care,” said Mr. Howard. A Neurotic Perfectionist takes it to a whole different level. They believe that they never do anything good enough. They have no self belief and always think that what they have done is not great enough quality. They push themselves so hard, they almost reach a breaking point.OCD becomes an everyday characteristic that they carry.

Idealists are the same as perfectionist. Some people claim that perfectionism is a crime. Perfectionism can sometimes put people down and lower their self esteem. The main problem with perfectionist comes with relationships.  Relationships always have problems. However, people dating a perfectionist get worried about the possible outcomes of what they might expect.”Perfect is always proper,” said Kyomi Flemini. In a relationship, the perfectionist may start to expect more of their partner.

Perfectionists are hard to read. They claim to not be an idealist. Their problems lead to them wanting a perfect life style. Most people do not want to be perfect; mistakes make life more intriguing.

“I’m a perfectionist. I’m pretty much insatiable. I feel there is so many things that I can improve on,” said professional tennis player Serena Williams. Athletes are always looking to improve. However, there is a difference in sports and life. Life is supposed to be sprightly and enjoyable. Sports lengthen the seriousness thrust upon an athlete. Athletes cannot mess around and make mistakes. For example, in a dance routine, the dancers can’t forget the dance. It throws everything off. Although sports need perfectionism, life doesn’t.
