The cartoon industry has greatly changed over the years. Having gone from black and white to color and from shows like Bugs Bunny, The Looney Tunes, Recess and He-Man(which are not often showed on TV) to others like Super Robot Monkey Team, Family Guy, and Ben 10.
Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Wiley E. Coyote, Tazmanian Devil, Speedy Gonzalez, Marvin Martian, Sylvester, Tweedy and the whole gang were all a classic set of characters. In the past they appeared (some sometimes still do) on Cartoon Network. This has been one of the biggest quality television programs created by the Warner Brothers for a long time.
Originally the Cartoon Network channel was created as an outlet for Turner's to view re-runs of classic Warner Bros. and MGM cartoons. Time Warner changed the direction of its cartoon Productions, and focused the studio on creating new material for the Cartoon Network channel. Among the numerous shows the studio has produced are Dexter's Laboratory (1996), Johnny Bravo (1997), Cow and Chicken (1997), and The Powerpuff Girls (1998). Starting with Ed, Edd, n Eddy (1999), they decided to take another step and began making the Toonami and Adult Swim in order to attract other viewers outside of the kid audience.
In October of 2004, Cartoon Network finally removed the Looney Tunes show and any additional classic cartoon programs, with the exception of Tom and Jerry, in effort to keep bringing its new material to the table.
“They could have keep some shows on the air. I don’t watch them often but every now and then it’s good to see them”, said junior Micheal Jackson.
E ven though the cartoon industry keeps on changing it keeps the cartoon lovers coming back wanting more and more.
