It is that time of year again when trees, presents, food, and family are all you can think about. It is close to christmas and I thought it would be interesting to see what our fellow CA students do for the holidays. I interviewed two students, the first is a member of the student council, prom committee, yearbook committee, and FBLA, Terell Butler.....
CA Today: Do you celebrate Christmas?
Terell: Yes I do.
CA Today: Where do you spend Christmas?
Terell: Several of my families homes. My aunts and uncles houses.
CA Today: Does your family have any Christmas traditions?
Terell: No.
CA Today: If you could have only three things for christmas, what would they be?
Terell: Money, a car, and an iphone.
CA Today: What are some of your favorite Christmas foods? Who cooks them for you?
Terell: Lemon Merang pie and macaroni and cheese. My mom and my grandmother cooks them.
The next student I interviewed is Tia Brown who is in Skills USA, College Bound, and is a part of our yearbook committee....
CA Today: Do you celebrate Christmas?
Tia: Yes.
CA Today: What are your favorite things about Christmas and why?
Tia: Family get togethers, and the meals because, um... I guess cause my family rarely gets together and my mom doesn't have time to cook for real.
CA Today: Did you make a Christmas list? What are five things you would put on it?
Tia: No, I would put a car, clothes, money, electronics, and world peace.
CA Today: What are your favorite holiday foods?
Tia: Cheese cake, and dressing
CA Today: Does your family have any Christmas traditions? What are they?
Tia: Yes, we put up our tree one day after Thanksgiving, we open at least two presents on christmas eve, and since my neice was born on Christmas, we make a birthday cake for her.
End of interview...
We all know how important family and tradition is. It is very important to me so I'm going to tell you what my family tradition is. Every morning on Christmas eve my family all meet at my aunt's house for a huge breakfast and to exchange gifts. We usually stay there untill late afternoon. I don't know exactly how long my family has been doing this tradition, but it has been many years. This is my favorite thing about Christmas for me, because I love to get together with my family and my aunt can really cook. As you can see Christmas is an important time for everyone, so I hope you have a great holiday.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
