As we complete the first semester of the 2007-08 school year, we can reflect on the memories from August to December. It was a fun, great and unfortunatley sad semester for Miller Career Academy.
I was looking forward to the new school year back in August. I've changed over the summer and I was looking forward to the new year. We now have new students in this school, the Freshman, including my sister. I figured that the Freshman were going to be an immature group of kids, I was right. We had a lot of events this have half of the year. We had Spirit Week, the Prep Rally, Homecoming, our first Bonfire and more.
We also had tragic moments that be in our everlasting memory forever. Fisrt, two of our seniors were hit by a truck. The boy, Tyrone, recovered quick but the girl remained in the hospital for a while, but she's alright. At least both of them lived but we can't say the same for Stacy Smith, who was murdered in October. It was a sad and quiet time but we moved on.
Now to wrap up the semester, we are currently taking final exams. I know the students are studying hard and reviewing everything they learned from this semester. I think I will do well, how about you?
This has been a fun and joyful first half of the school year. What awaits in 2008, Who knows?
