What's better than having a hot hunk like Zac Efron (otherwise known as Logan) coming to your house and wanting to work at your dog kennel? For Taylor Shilling ( Beth), he was more of an irritant... until time changed everything. So goes the predictable, but wonderful, plot line of the chick flick, The Lucky One.

In the story, Logan was a Marine who returned to Colorado following his third and final tour of Iraq. Back on the frontline, Logan happened to find a photo of a pretty blonde, blue-eyed girl. He turned it over on the back to see if there was a name or an address, and all there was was a phrase; "Keep safe".  He took the picture with him and every time he was suppose to die, he never did. He came to the conclusion that this picture was his guardian angel and was the only thing that kept him alive.

Logan decided he would travel until he found that girl. He found her at a house in the woods with a kennel full of dogs and a tear-jerking past. Beth had a son named Ben. She was divorced from one of the town's cops who instantly hated Logan because he liked his ex-wife. At first, however, Logan wasn't out for love; he was out to thank Beth for his life, but eventually he and Beth fell in love. The cop didn't like that and did everything in his power to keep them apart.

Logan ended up becoming more of a father figure to Ben than his actual dad...which led to a showdown on a rickety bridge, over a swollen river during a rainstorm. You will have to watch yourself for the surprising ending.

Overall I would give this movie a 5 stars out of 5 stars. I absolutely loved this movie and even shed a few tears. It was a romance, tragedy, and action all in one film and truly touched me. I normally have something picky to say about a movie, but this movie was great. To me, it had no flaws and couldn't have been produced better. If you get some free time, I would definitely go see this movie.
