Food: The Fat Ladies arrived starving and eager to look through the five page menu. They downed an entire basket of chips and salsa within the first five minutes of their arrival. The trio decided to split a large chile con queso, Quesadilla Con Todo, and Rio Flautas de Pollo. The queso came out quick, and it quickly became the Fat Ladies new favorite queso. The quesadillas were large flour tortillas filled with cheese and the ladies choice of chicken fajita meat. The oodles of melted cheese almost made them too rich, but the Fat Ladies emptied the plate in record time. The Rio Flautas plate included two large corn tortilla flautas with rice, beans, and frijoles a la charra (bean soup). Although the corn tortillas almost ruined the flautas, for the Fat Ladies prefer the flour ones, the meal as a whole was excellent. Also, the Fat Ladies took note of the extensive dessert menu Rio Rita’s offered. Alas, they were too full to try any!

Service: The Fat Ladies simply adored their waiter. Dusty was upbeat and eager to please, making him their favorite server all year! Rio Rita’s service is top notch!

Promptness: They waited a little longer than they would have liked for their menus and chips to make an appearance, but after that, everything came out exceptionally fast. Rio Rita’s must have known not to keep the Fat Ladies waiting!

Atmosphere: Possibly the most charming and festive Mexican restaurant ever, the Fat Ladies kicked back and enjoyed the colorful surroundings and the lively music. Each room was respresentative of a different large city in Mexico (Acapulco, Mexico City, etc.). The trio dined in Puerto Vallarta.

Cleanliness: The restaurant is still brand

new, and everything was cleaner than clean. The Mexican pottery the food came out on didn’t even have a knife or fork scratch from previous diners.

Affordability: Eek. Such a perfect restaurant with such imperfect prices. The amount of food received was inversely proportional to the amount of money paid. It’s a shame the Fat Ladies had to share due to the expensive meals. On average, entrees range from $7.50 to $13.50.
