User Free

In order for a student to play a sport they are charged $100 unless receiving free/reduced lunch. However, for the 2009 - 2010 school year things are going to change. Superintendent Susan Hollins believes the Greenfield schools will be better off without having to pay the $100 fee to play a sport at GMS/GHS. When most people hear about this change they ask questions like “How is our school going to make money?” or “How are we going to afford sports equipment and transportation?” According to Coach Kucheski, Greenfield’s Athletic Director, the athletes and coaches will be putting on bake sales and car wash’s in order to keep money coming into the system. He says “Not having user fees is going to be awesome, hopefully this will entice more students to become athletes.” So, next year play a sport at GMS/GHS, it’s free!
