but she plays one impressive game, too.
Danielle started playing golf last year and already she has taken over the team’s leadership. When asked what motivates her to go to practices every day from 3:30 to 5:30, she replied, “It’s another thing that adds to my individuality and might help me get a scholarship.”
Danielle also practices at Anastasia golf club with her dad and uncle. When asked about special workouts she has to do in order to stay in shape, she stated,” Well, I have to do a lot of arm like bench presses and triceps workouts.”
However, her life does not only revolve around golf, after golf practices Danielle enjoys writing and playing keyboard. According to Danielle, what separates her from other team members is “I practice more and give it all I got in every game.” Danielle also “Encourages her team members to give it their best even if they don’t win.”
Danielle hopes to continue her golf career in college, and expects to lead the team to districts this year, “If we keep progressing and everyone keeps loving the game, there is no way our talents combined together won’t take us to districts.”
In the end it’s the love for the game, which motivates Danielle and her team members to go out every day in heat to practice.
The boy’s golf team has also been having a spectacular season so far. Coach Sapp commented, “The whole team is doing great, and we have a good chance of going to districts.” The core leaders of the boys golf team are: Tylor Janz, Jeffery Parker, Andrew and Tommy Kayworth, Matt King, and Michael Long. Michael Long recently scored lowest 18 holes, and came in 2nd at the conference gold tournament.
