When the rains stopped, baseball played. - Devon Jones

Due to the weather the baseball team hasn’t had many chances to play this season. The players enjoy the sport very much and are really anxious to play soon.

They can’t play in the rain because of the effect water has on the baseball. With the rain the balls become much heavier and harder to pitch. In time the balls get overly damaged and start to fall apart. That’s a waste of time and money, so it’s better for the team just to wait it out. They say patience is a virtue.

"Heroes get remembered but legends never die," said Daniel Anaya.

The players strive to do their best by conditioning and warming up before each game.

"Go hard or go home," said sophomore Mark Gamboa.

The team seems to be getting along very well even though they haven’t played. There are no disagreements and they do what’s best for the team.

Chris Weaver believes you have to be smart about the game. He said, "Knowledge is power."

With the week of warmer weather and lack of rain, the baseball field should dry out and the team will be ready to play ball.
