Are there ever days in which you wake up and are thankful for being a guy, so that you do not have to worry so much about all of the things you must do before you leave the house? “I am very thankful to be able to just roll out of bed in the morning, brush my teeth, and be able to walk out of the door,” said sophomore Luke Rieke. “It is so more convenient being a guy.” Many guys who have short hair may be able to just take a shower and not do a thing with their hair, while being a girl is much different. Everything for a girl usually has to be just right before they take on step out of the door. “I usually spend more quality time on myself while getting ready to go out with friends or to have fun, more than I do for just a simple day at school," said sophomore Tyler Barrientes. “Usually, when I go out to have a good time, I am more likely to be worried about what you look like, then what I do at school when I see the same people everyday.” Even though the thing seems to be that girls take forever to get around, even if it is for something simple, there are guys that are the same way. It may seem as if girls are perfectionists and have to have everything just right before they leave the house, but some guys may be in the same boat. There are guys who worry about how their clothes look on them and if they match, if they are wrinkled, and if they fit just the way they want them to. “If my clothes were wrinkled before I left the house, I personally would not care that much, I would rather have them wrinkled than take the time to iron them,” said sophomore Lincoln Rowe.
Perfection would be the least of priorities in a guy’s daily routine. Girls wake up and that is the first thing running through their minds as to what they are going to wear that day, if they have matching shoes to go with their outfits, if it looks okay with their hair and so forth. Guys are worried about what they are doing after school, and if they got their homework done from the night before.
“I think girls worry more about what they look like before they leave the house because they are always worried about if they look good or not and if they like what they are wearing for the day, while guys do not worry about who they have to impress, they worry about being able to get out of bed in time to even get where they have to be at the right time,” said sophomore Logan Lee.
People may take this topic into many different considerations, and have many different beliefs and thoughts about the different features guys and girls may have.
“The hardest part of my morning is being able to get out of bed for school, and being there on time,” said Rieke. “Personally, I do not worry about what I look like when I leave my house, if I feel up to getting around then I will, and if I don’t then it does not bother me.”
The outlook on a guy’s view of getting ready is completely different from a girls view. The guys view will continue to be slim to none, while girls will continue to be the perfectionists that they are.
