Students in our school have all different kinds of hobbies. Some of them do them everyday and some only do them occasionly. Some of the hobbies are sports or something active others could be like video games or working on different things like models or drawing, but about anything can be considered a hobby.

“I don’t have many hobbies, but my favorite and the one I spend the most time doing is that I like to skateboard,” said freshmen Cody Stafford.

The definition of a “Hobby” is an activity or interest pursued outside one’s regular occupation and engaged primarily for pleasure.

There are all sorts of hobbies. Most of people's hobbies are doing things like arts and crafts which would be like knitting and drawing, games and puzzles which is like board games and actual puzzles, reading and learning which would be like reading books or could be like learning how to make something or like another language, and hobbies in their homes which would be like working on their homes or working on different things in their homes such as cars, motorcycles, or anything else.

“My favorite hobby is playing video games because they are not boring,” said freshman Zach Helton. "You can go into war without getting shot and die.  You can also go into different worlds and explore stuff that you wouldn't have here."

Other hobbies would be like collecting things like cards, coins, autographs, or books, another hobby is outdoor hobbies, which include things like hunting animals, fishing for fish, bird watching, hiking, canoeing, camping, swimming, bug catching, walking, and a lot more.

“My hobby is extra curricular activities and sports,” said freshman Austin Carroll.

There are a lot more hobbies that students have but they aren’t active hobbies. Like a lot of students just talk to each other and friends. They also just talk on the phone and text. Other non-active hobbies would be like watching T.V. Also racing remote controlled cars is a hobby that is non-active and sleeping is a hobby that not many people consider a hobby.

“I used to be a mascot for a local radio station, I was a star,” said journalism teacher Joe Sullivan.

Teachers have hobbies too. After school, some teachers go home and have a family and kids to spend time and do hobbies with and others just have a wife or husband to do things with and to spend time with. Some teachers just do their hobbies by themselves too. Like Mr. Geigold has a bunch of dog kennels because he trains and sells duck hunting dogs.

“My hobby besides working at the school is wood working,” said Project Lead the Way teacher George Wilmore.

Pretty much all students, teachers, and everyone has some sort of a hobby. Having a hobby is usually a good thing for everyone unless the hobby involves doing something that can cause harm to the person. Hobbies keep people occupied and usually in a good mood because they are doing something that they enjoy.
