If you did not already know, Garrett High School has a new English teacher, and her name is Mrs. Wolf. Garrett High School is Mrs. Wolf’s first official teaching job, even though she student taught in Coldwater, MI first. She teaches English Honors 9, English 11, and English Honors 12.

When she is not teaching, she is residing in Angola with her husband, three kids, and two precious dogs.

“I like going to church on Sunday with my family, and every Fall we hike the trails at Pokagon State Park,” said Mrs. Wolf.

As for her own schooling, Mrs. Wolf graduated from Northrop High School in Ft. Wayne. After a few years, she attended Tri-State University in Angola and graduated from there in 2006. While at Tri-State, she student taught at Coldwater, MI for a term or two. Mrs. Wolf also graduated with GHS’s new math teacher, Mrs. Maksimchuk, at Tri-State. Both of them are friends, and ironically have the same great taste for teaching at such a great school.

“Mrs. Maksimchuk and I are good friends, we travel together to school and confide in each other,” she said.

Not only is she involved in Garrett’s academics, but the sport’s programs and other extracurricular activities, too. You can usually find her at a football game or riding atop a flashy float. She also enjoys participating in the school dances, in which she can show her dancing skills. So what does Mrs.Wolf exactly like about Garrett High School?

“I like the friendliness of the people and the hometown atmosphere,” she said. “I also like both the staff and the students. The students are good, hard workers and the staff is helpful.”

Her students would agree Mrs. Wolf is a wonderful teacher that has been added to the Garrett High School family.

“She is doing really well,” said Kaitlin Karr, a freshmen, “for her first teaching job, she is doing good.”

Mrs. Wolf has proven to be another contributor to Garrett High’s driving success, and will continue to be, because she works here!
