Taking it one game at a time is the motto for the Lady Woodmen as they look toward their Sectional match up against Decatur Central .

The Lady Woodmen have been working to step up their game for Sectionals and improve on skills to carry them throughout the rest of the season.

“We have been watching a lot of film lately which will help us prepare for the opposing teams,” senior Rachel Farley said.

Entering sectionals, the Lady Woodmen make adjustments on the court.

“I partially tore my ACL as well as the cartilage in my right knee,” senior Jessica Universaw said. “Until I am recovered, we will be having Jordan Kapitan fill in during the while I will not be participating.”

With hard work behind them and anticipation looking the ladies in the eye the Lady Woodmen look back on the season that has been preparing them for the sectionals games since day one.

“Sectionals is not something you prepare for the week before you enter the game,” Coach Debby Guckenberger said. “We have been taking our games day by day and improving throughout the entire season to play well in the Sectional games.”

With a tough practice schedule and multiple games during the week, the Lady Woodmen are taking necessary precautions to ensure they are ready for the court.

“We practice Monday through Saturday from 3-5 p.m. and depending on when our games are scheduled affects if we have practice or not,” Unversaw said.
