Seeing a foreign exchange student roam the halls is nothing new to the staff and students of Danville High School. Yet Tracy Grevin is special. This junior recently moved to America from France, but she’s not going back at the end of the school year. Grevin has taken up permanent residence in the city of firsts and plans to finish her high school career here at DHS.

Grevin, 18, admits that the reason she and her family came to America was "for schooling and economic reasons." She also went on to say that, "In France, you work very hard in school. Even if you have many diplomas, you still work in a factory."

"[Tracy’s] always quiet but very hard working. She’s always doing what I ask," said math teacher, Aaron Carpenter.

Grevin feels that she is adjusted to American life very well. "America is cool. Everyone is nicer. Everyone is helpful when you have problems. America is a free country."

It’s plain to see that our new French representative is happy with her stay in America.
