Using sugar is not unhealthy, but using the substitute “aspartame” is. Aspartame has caused many illnesses among the American population. Aspartame is an artificial sweetener used to reduce calories in food. This sugar substitute is also known as “chemical poison.” 40% of aspartic acid, 50% of phenylalanine, and 10% of methanol make this horrible substance.
Scientist James Schlatter, who was trying to find a cure for the ulcer, accidentally discovered this dangerous form of sugar. Aspartame was tested on animals and humans before the approval for use in foods and pharmaceuticals. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved aspartame 26 times since 1981.
Since the FDA passed this food substance, it has caused severe nerve damage. Millions of Americans has suffered from the use of aspartame not knowing what it really is and taking in an immense quantity.
Currently, aspartame is consumed by over 200 million people around the world and is found in more than 6,000 products. The substitute sugar is found in pharmaceuticals (Tylenol, Alka Seltzer, Flintstones vitamins, Laxatives, etc.), Wrigley’s gum products, Weight Watchers Desserts, diet drinks, NutraSweet, and Equal.
Aspartame accounts for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Many of these reactions are very serious including seizures and death. A few of the 90 different documented symptoms listed in the report as being caused by aspartame include: headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain.
According to researchers and physicians studying the adverse effects of aspartame, the following chronic illnesses can be triggered or worsened by ingesting of aspartame: brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, mental retardation, lymphoma, birth defects, and diabetes.
