           Newlife skills teacher Ms. Pustejovsky attended Birmingham Southern College, butthen came back to her home state of Texas and attended Sam Houston StateUniversity were she majored in Kinesiology and minored in Education and German.

“To be a positive influence whereone might not be,” Pustejovsky said.

            Mr.Reed  is the new English I andEnglish III teacher who is in his tenth year of teaching, but has spent the lastnine years teaching in Colorado.

            “Iam hoping to help prepare my freshmen students for high school and have mystudents find their own place,” Reed said.

            NewWranglerettes dance teacher Ms. Caterina danced for the well known Texas StateUniversity Strutters and is now currently an active member of the ShowMakers ofAmerica Dance Company.

            “TheWranglerettes look amazing, they have been working hard and enjoying dance,”Caterina said.

            Thefootball team’s new defensive coordinator and health teacher Coach Mullins isin his first year at Friendswood and is enjoying it.

            “Havingmy own classroom is great because I am use to being the floater and now that Ihave my own room I feel like I’m at home,” Mullins said.

            Themath department welcomes Mrs. Nickerson, an Algebra II and Pre-Cal teacher whois back in the classroom after taking nine years to raise a family. Mrs.Nickerson received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from The University ofHouston.

            “Itruly feel that my purpose in life beyond being a wife and mom is to teach,”Nickerson said.

            NewEconomics and Government teacher Mr. Tucker earned his bachelor’s and master’sdegree from The University of Houston at Clear Lake.

            “Ienjoy the interaction with students,” Tucker said.

            Thescience department brings in three new teachers into Friendswood. Mrs. Wilson,Mr. Tapp, and Mrs. Clark.

            Mrs.Wilson graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in ChemicalEngineering. Wilson worked for over twenty years in industry before becoming ateacher.

            “Ilove that moment when the light bulb comes on in a students mind,” Wilson said.

            Mr.Tapp is an IPC teacher with a Bachlor’s degree from The University of Houstonand a Masters from the University of Texas School of Public Health inEnvironmental Science. Tapp is in his first year of teaching after working forover 33 years in the chemical industry.

            “Itlights my fire to see children engage, learning, and enthusiastic,” Tapp said.

            Mrs.Clark is also an IPC teacher who graduated from the University of Illinois atUrbana-Champaign with a degree in Microbiology.

            “Ilove making a difference in the life of students,” Clark said.
