The start of the school saw students rushing from oneclass to another just to make it on time and having no time to go to ourlockers.

FHS is getting a brand new swimming pool, newclassrooms, a bigger cafeteria, eventually more parking, nd some other minorchanges.

“It gets in the way of everything but hopefully it’llmake it a better/ bigger place in the end,” junior Jay Herder said.

In the long run this will be worth all the extra mess, even though it may not seem like it now with all the hassle.

“For whoever’s here it will be worth it, but right nowfor us it’s hard to get to class on time,” junior Christina Hooper said.

But the swim team will no longer have to take a busover to the park just to get to practice; they’ll only have to walk down to ournew pool. In the long run that will be easier for them.

“It will be a lot easier to get to practice and CoachLittle wouldn’t have to take time out of his day to get us to practice.” juniorswimmer Jonathan Crutchfield said. “And we would be able to start practicesooner.”

Getting new classrooms is always a good thing. Ithopefully means less crowded classes.

“Oh it will be worth it, it will double the size ofthe math and science building,” Physics Teacher Mr. McGowan said. “It wouldhave been nice if they had finished it before school started but that’s okay.”

Getting a bigger cafeteria will benefit anyone tryingto get out of the rain.

“Makingthe Cafeteria bigger is a great idea it’s crowded enough.” junior AshleyLindley said. “And when it rains it just gets worse.”

For drivers, the construction is a pain, but willyield positive results in the end.

“The newparking spaces are totally awesome, I absolutely love them!” Hooper said. “Mostof the time you don’t even have to hunt for a spot.”

FHS is a growing school that needs more space andconstruction, no matter how annoying it can be.
