Along with the new addition to the school and a brand new process for hot lunches, a new parking lot system has been added to the list of fresh things for Plano High School. The entrance has one row to enter and all the other rows go in one direction. Unlike last year, the entering cars do not affect the exiting cars, which is a somewhat easier procedure for students who are trying to leave the lot. “Last year I would have to wait like 10 minutes just to cross the end row and get out of the parking lot, now it only takes a couple minutes,” said junior Lauren K. Although this may be a quicker way to get in and out of the parking lot, some students may be disappointed with the fact that there are no assigned parking spots. “I was always looking forward to being a senior because we get closer parking spots and I wouldn’t have to walk forever to get into school,” said senior Mandy R. Some students find this a blessing. “I usually get to school early, so I always have a close parking spot. It also gives me a reason to not be tardy everyday,” added senior Marcella P. Whether this new system is an advantage or disadvantage for students at Plano High School, it is needless to say that the school is trying new systems and procedures to help out the students and put together a more positive environment.
