Reading the movie review for “Reservation Road” left me beyond puzzled because of its complex storyline, but after watching the three minute trailer I was left begging for more. As I see it, “Reservation Road” is a captivating story about one father’s will to find the man who killed his son in a hit and run accident and another father’s determination to hide his secret.

The movie is based on a novel, of the same name, written by John Burnham Schwartz and was directed by Terry George, who has also directed movies like “Hotel Rwanda” and “Hart’s War.” The movie stars two fathers, Academy Award nominee Joaquin Phoenix (Ethan Leaner) and Mark Ruffalo (Dwight Arno), whose lives begin to converge after the death of Ethan Learner’s son. This drama/thriller hits movie theaters nationwide on October 19. It is rated R because of bad language and sexual content.
