The time comes around when all students begin making plans for the summer.
Some even begin making lists of things they would like to do before summer ends and we start yet another school year.
We’re nearing that time of year again when we begin to think of the most interesting things we want to do during those two wonderful free months, but once summer comes around, most students just end up oversleeping, watching T.V. all day, not partying, and staying up until late at night.
Of course, some of the most cliché ideas would be to read a book, go watch summer movies, and go to museums; some people find these ideas “boring”. Not necessarily.
So here are some good ideas on what to do during the summer so that it doesn’t become just another waste of time that could’ve been better spent.
- Visit the Miami Science Museum which provides light shows in their planetarium as well as other activities.
- Have a blast at Warped Tour 2009. Get your tickets at ticketmaster.com and have an awesome time with 3OH!3, and Chiodos.
- Get a tan at Venetian Pools! It’ll be $10 for adults and $6.75 for children 3-12.
- Enjoy the scenery at Vizcaya. Students with ID only pay $10!
- Got art? If not, visit the Miami Art Museum to appreciate the history of art. Got money? If not, it’s ok. Students with ID get in free!
- If you’re willing to drive, go on over to the Swap Shop where you can find a flea market, a carnival, and a drive in movie theatre.
