Stimulus Plan Embed This Article

How many people do you know who could read the number 3,900,000,000,000? Could you even read it yourself? The Number is three trillion nine hundred billion, a number few could read, but a number we will all soon understand. This is the amount the government plans to spend this up coming year in just the basics of the stimulus plan. What is all that money going towards, with most of the source of this monstrous number being tax payers money, that is a good question to be asking but who can give us this answer. A website titled “Pro Publica, journalism in the public interest.” published an article of the stimulus plan and a detailed list of spending.

Starting with a topic that a great deal of people seems most concerned about: Healthcare. The top spender in the health care section is mostly on new research and care facilities. The U.S government plans to spend about 540,000,000 alone on rehabilitation and disability research. The Education portion of the stimulus is dedicated to adult job training and education to the mentally handicap, in fact the U.S plans to spend 500,000,000 alone on adult education. The stimulus article covers a lot more than I am able to mention in just one article so if you are interested in reading more go to http://www.propublica.org/special/the-stimulus-plan-a-detailed-list-of-spending and you can finish the article.

This doesn’t answer all the question there is to where all the governments money is going, but at least it gives a us a general idea to what are governments focusing on and gives a better idea to where are money is going.
