We have all had our funny moments this school year, but what about everyone else in school. Do they have something to look back on?
I asked a few people about their most ridiculous moments of the school year.
Sheridan Wood, a junior, had the most traditional one of all. She said, “During rehearsal for Least Offensive Play in the Whole Darn World, I was doing my Joe Monologue when I got too close to the edge of the stage and, well, fell off. Only a few people saw me.”
Zach Fortenberry said, “It happened recently. I and a few classmates were filming a scene for TV Productions and we just couldn’t finish the scene, all we could do was laugh. We must have taken the five takes of the same scene.”
Ariana Smith, also a junior said, “My most ridiculous moment was when I had to play Gestures once in theatre and the word I pulled was “pole dancer” and I had to charade it in front of the entire class. No one got the word. Very embarrassing!”
Zach Streeter, a sophomore, said, “I was in gym playing basketball. I was passed the ball to a friend of mine on the team. I was under the basket to rebound the ball and he shot the ball it bounced off the rim and when I went to jump and get it he elbowed me straight in the ‘forbidden zone.’ It sucked!”
Brandon Lee said, “I was walking out of weight training and my friend pushed me so I fell face first straight into the ground. Not funny, but everyone else laughed.”
I personally have had a lot of outrageous moments this school year, but there are too many to choose from. These moments will be the moments that highlight our high school days. Don’t ever forget yours, because there is nothing like a good laugh every now and then, whether it be a memory of hurting yourself, someone hurting you, or it’s just plain ridiculous.
