A good thriller movie has some essential elements: a complex and intriguing plot, interesting characters, scandal, suspense, and a good murder or two in between. The new movie “Fracture” is no exception.
“Fracture,” starring Anthony Hopkins, plays Theodore Crawford, a man who attempts to murder his wife (played by Embeth Davidtz) after he discovers that she’s been cheating on him.
When the police are called after the gardener hears gun shots, hostage negotiator Rob Nunnely comes to talk to Theodore. Once he is in the house, he sees Theodore’s wife on the floor and realizes it’s the woman he’s been sleeping with.
Willy Beachum, played by Ryan Gosling, is Theodore’s prosecutor who pulls every string to try to discover Theodore’s involvement in the murder, even though every piece of evidence is wiped clean, even the murder weapon.
The movie is filled with surprises, deceit and mind games. The never-ending twists and turns keep the audience on the edge of their seats until the very last scene.
If you love suspense, action, scandal and Anthony Hopkins movies, “Fracture” is definitely the movie to see.
