This year has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us who will be leaving soon. We try to distract ourselves because we want the time to quicken; we want zealously to start our lives. But, at certain moments, we stop and look around and realize we will miss this place where we grew into the people we are today.

I will be the first to admit I appreciate our school. It is a comfortable place. It’s a place where, if a person wants to reach out and express themselves, they are accepted and respected for it. And that is a rare occasion.

I hate writing goodbyes; I am always the last to leave.

I will miss all my friends who laughed at my quirkiness and cheered me up when I had a particularly bad day.

I’d like to give a shout out to Cristina Jackson- hey best friend: isn’t it funny that we aren’t walking together at graduation?

I will miss my young teachers, who could relate to every one of their students, who knew how to get us all involved.

I’ll give a shout out to Mrs. Montes de Oca- you inspired me to look for ways to help others, and to take everything as a learning experience.

Ms. Garland- you made history come alive and relate to everyone of us. I laughed everyday in your class and I love crayons because of you.

Finally, Mr. Callaghan- you are my mentor when it comes to writing and folk music. I write CLEARLY now and love The Mother Hips.

I guess that’s it. And the show is done.
