Q: What position do you play?

A: I play 2-meter defense, which is one of the main defensive positions. I guard the person who sits in front of our goal.

Q: How long have you been playing?

A: I started water polo my freshman year, so this will be my third year, but I have been swimming for about five years now.

Q: What are practices like?

A: We have practices six times a week, for one or two hours each time. We do swim conditioning, legwork, drills, and on Fridays we scrimmage.

Q: How do you feel about your water polo experience at CV?

A: We have a great coaching staff. They really motivate you to not only do well in your sport, but also to stay on top of your grades and help out in the community.

Q: How close is the team?

A: We are like a family because we spend so much time together.

Q: How do you feel about the upcoming season?

A: I feel really confident that we are going to do well in the league and perform well in CIF, because we have a great connection. We all like each other and work well together, so I am sure that it will transfer during our games.

Q: What do you like most about water polo?

A: I love the positive atmosphere and just being with all my friends doing something that we all love.

Q: What do you think has been the greatest benefit of playing water polo?

A: I do not think there is just one greatest benefit to water polo. I have made a lot of new friends and learned how to cooperate with other people.

Q: Do you plan on pursuing water polo in the future?

A: I definitely hope to play in college and hopefully get some scholarships.
