Ruff, Ruff! Rrast week my owner took me rover to the Washington Rrog Park. I had a grrreat rime. There were rots and rots of pretty rogs like me. When I was rrursty there was a place rust for rogs to rrink. I met a pretty rittle rog named Jeanie. We rad a great rime running around together. I rope I get to go again soon!
It is hard to miss the new addition to the Washington Park, were dogs as well as their humans enjoy an afternoon out. The large fenced in area holds herds of bounding K-9s. The dog park was donated to Washington Park by PETsMART companies.
The park is equipped with 2.65 acres of grass surface for dogs to run around and mingle. There are two double-gated entrances to ensure that dogs do not get loose, as well as a 6-foot-high perimeter fencing.
There are disabled-accessable sidewalks and benches for owners to sit back and watch thier dogs play. There are also two watering stations for the dogs that get overheated and a water fountain for thirsty owners.
Most importantly, the park furnishes mutt mitt dispensers and garbage cans for dog waste. While it is primarily the responsibility of owners to clean up after their dogs, there is also a cleaning crew that comes and picks up after the animals.
The park has future plans of fencing off a special area for smaller dogs and their owners because it can get a little rough out there for itsy bitsy dogs.
So if your dog is tired of being cooped up in the back yard, you ought to give the dog park a try. The park is open from dawn to dusk.
