To the da Vinci Senior Class of 2009,
It’s about that time of year again, the end of May… beginning of June, exams creeping closer, everyone anxious to leave school and begin summer. But this year, for us, it’s quite different. It’s time to move on and leave behind the last four years of our life. We’re all off to something bigger and I wish each and every one of you the best of luck. I’ll never forget all of the memories we made here at da Vinci.
Now I’d like to write a little something thanking the people that truly made these past four years the absolute best of my life.
Thank you to Odalis Echavarria for being my best friend all through high school, never getting too annoyed with me and always listening to everything, and I mean everything I had to say while giving me the best advice anyone could ever give me. You mean so much to me and I know we’ll always be best friends. Thank you to Kristina Silbak for being my very first high school friend and for always being there, through every little drama-filled argument. I appreciate everything you’ve done and said to me, you’ll never know how much you truly mean to me. Thank you to Amber Doxbeck and Chelsea Oliver for being my best friends and for always listening to my ranting, every single day of high school. Thank you to Katie Felschow for understanding every single thing I go through and always having some sort of advice to go with it. I really didn’t think we would ever be even friends, but I’m so glad we became best friends. Thank you to Kelsey Bartosz for finally stopping hating me. I really appreciate that because I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t one of my best friends. I’m truly going to miss you when you leave all of us for college. Road trip to Maineeee! =] Thank you to Patrick DiPalma for finally talking to me junior year and eventually giving me loads of advice on everything, senior year. I’m not going to miss you at all because... we’re going to be D’Youville Dollies together! Thank you to Eric Schuster for not ever talking to me until halfway through senior year and being one of the funniest people I know. I won’t miss you at all either because you are a follower and you’re following Mohamed to D’Youville with the rest of us. Thank you Mohamed Sharif for being my future best friend and for always being able to make me laugh! Thank you Cody Kedron for talking to me like twice in middle school, and then not ever again until senior year. Oh and thanks for understanding my pain everyday and just being your honest and funny self! Thank you Kaiti Grant for being my friend since like what? 6th grade? And thanks for being softball captain with me, we’ve had a great three…four years =] Thank you to Antonia Giuga for being one of the funniest girls I have gotten to know. Sophomore year was the best, I miss it and I know I’ll miss you when you go off to a college 30 minutes away! Thanks to Kristina Burley for also being one of the funniest girls I know. I really never thought I’d be friends with you but you’re a great person, and I’m glad I am! Thank you to Garrison Whitt for annoying me every single day of school, in gym, study hall, lunch, economics, and English V. You’re probably the smartest kid I know, and yeah I know you already know that. Thank you to JessK! for annoying the heck out of me sophomore year by playing with that long blonde hair of yours and for letting me get to know you well enough this year so that I know now you’re an amazing and unique person. I’ll miss you kid! Also thanks to Jason, William, Kaitlin, Beth, Leah and Ashley, Ashley, & Ashley for having the best name ever!
To every single person in the senior class;
I will miss you all. Good luck in the future.
Love,
Ashley Fitzpatrick
