Indian and Pakistani food is becoming more popular these days. However many people cannot distinguish between Indian and Pakistani foods.

Customers are often confused about what foods they should order when they go to a Pakistani or Indian restaurant.

Although both Indian and Pakistani foods tend to look the same, they each have different qualities. For instance, they both share chicken curry, but each culture prepares it differently. If you taste chicken curry at an Indian restaurant, the curry tends to have a yellowish color, whereas if you eat the same curry in a Pakistani restaurant the color of the curry tends to be more reddish. Also, Pakistani food tends to be more spicy than Indian food.

Another difference between Pakistani and Indian foods is that Indian restaurants make more dishes comprised of vegetables. One of their famous dishes is masala dosa which is mashed spicy potatoes wrapped in a really thin bread. Pakistani restaurants make more dishes with meat such as birayni. Birayni is a rice dish mixed with meat and spices such as cloves and green chile.
