If you want to fulfill your fantasy of becoming a prince or princess for a night, or you want to just have fun and socialize, go to the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Oct. 16 in the West Gym. This year’s theme is “Once Upon a Time...A Fairytale Come True.”

For those of you who would like to run for Homecoming king or queen, applications are due in the AP office by Friday, Oct. 1. According to Gabriela Valdivia of Leadership, most students will be pleased with the selection of genres the DJ will be playing this year. Hip-hop, R& B, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, merengue, salsa, and punta are on that list.

Tickets are being sold in the student store starting on Oct. 4, for $10, and $7 for those who purchased an activity card.

The Homecoming game will be held two weeks later against Fairfax High School, on Friday, Oct. 29. The evening also features fireworks and a parade before the game.

If you’re involved in a club or sports team, and you’re interested in entering a float in the parade, there will be a mandatory meeting during lunch on Sept. 30 in Bungalow 5. Club presidents or representatives need to be present. Remember, all floats must tie into the theme.
