In Flames Pleases Crowd

The crowd roared to life as the stage lights went down, anticipating the start of the main event they had been anxiously looking forward to. Silouhettes entered the stage and the lights came back on to the serene opening to Sounds of a Playground Fading, the first track off their new album of the same name. Almost immediately, the mosh pit kicked off and crowd surfers began surging forward towards the front of the stage.

The Swedish heavy metal band In Flames played an amazing set that energized all of their loyal fans, who had already been warmed up by an impressive set by Trivium. In Flames kept the crowd energized continuously mixing older tracks that went from as back as 1994 and newer tracks to keep their loyal fans and some of their newer fans interested.

In Flames connection with the crowd really helped keep the concert alive. About halfway through the concert, Anders Fridén the lead vocalist demanded that he see the numbers of crowd surfers increase saying that “These security guys are here for you.”  This brought on a huge wave of crowd surfers, and made it so that anyone standing near the stage had to constantly keep an eye out for what was going on behind them instead of what was happening on stage.

Near the end of the show, Fridén made a comment to the crowd that he wished that he could “pack you (the crowd) all up and take you back to Sweden with me which brought a lot of excitement to the energized crowd, and caused them to renew their efforts to push their way to the front of the stage.

The band played a seemingly flawless performance and ensured that everyone had a good time.
