Short dresses are all the rage this season - Sherri Hill Designs

Prom 2012 is coming near and whether you’re a junior, senior, or even a sophomore you should be getting ready for the night of your life. For ladies, when it comes down to it, prom night is all about the jaw - dropping dress. Visualizing the dress you want is easy and fun, but finding the perfect dress is harder than it seems. It can be fun or stressful, because on top of the dress you have to have the shoes, make up, and jewelry to match.

So what`s in style for 2012? Long, silky skin - showing dresses have been very famous in the store displays. Senior, Priscilla Del Moral, bought her gown in Odessa, Texas at Jasmine`s Boutique. In her previous years, she wore a short dress to prom.  For her Senior year she wanted it to be special and bought a long dress for the special occasion. Most long dresses are strapless or one shoulder with V-neck or sweetheart necklines to go along with the look.

Now, if you have long legs you want to flaunt, no worries. Many short dresses are still mind-blowing. In boutique windows, shorter dresses have bold colors with bright accessories added to them.  Dalia Diaz, junior at Pathways, says she’s looking forward to wear a short dress. Her image is similar to the one shown below, strapless with a corset top. Dalia wants to follow the bold colored theme and find a yellow dress.   As demonstrated by Dress designer Sherri Hill.
As you can see from the picture, Hill`s dress is a very hot pink with big bold beads added to the sweetheart neckline. It`s not long and elegant but it`s fun and still makes a statement.
Also, if you want to keep it classic and elegant you can always go for white.                       But the best trend to follow is your own. If you`ve got a glowing tan, show it off with the white elegant dress. If you got the legs to show off, then do so! If you want to be fun and add bold accessories then do it (just don’t be too obsessive)!
