At-a-glance

These football subs will be the kick off of your football party. -

It’s football season, which means a crowd can unexpectedly gather at your home this weekend. It is crucial to keep this group controlled with plenty of fan favorites. First, a good game always includes cheers and jeers, with couch aerobics thrown in for good measure. However, this can cause your guests to become dehydrated and exhausted. Any good athletic trainer or host knows that immediate treatment for this injury is imperative and includes plenty of liquid and lots of food. Your second plan of action is to feed your guests these winning “mini football subs.”

You will need:

Meatballs

Shredded Cheese

Spaghetti Sauce

Hoagie Rolls

1. To make a batch, first prepare your favorite meatball recipe, shaping each meatball

into a mini football before baking at 350 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes.

Once they’re baked, add the meatballs to a skillet of spaghetti sauce and warm them

thoroughly.

2. For each sub, cut a V-shaped notch from the top of a hoagie roll. Place a

meatball in the roll and top with laces of shredded cheese. Finally, huddle the

sandwiches together on a cookie sheet then place them in a warm oven for a few

minutes. Remove once cheese is melted.
