From April 19-28 the Continental League Art Show at Curtis Art and Humanities Center will feature the work of Littleton and Cherry Creek students. The center is open from 5:30-7 p.m. A special reception to congratulate the artists will take place on Thurs., April 19 from 5:30-7 p.m.

On April 25 juniors will take the ACT. Junior testing will begin at 7:25. Classes for all grades will begin at 11 a.m.

Auditions for the 2007-2008 AHS Choirs will be held during the week of April 23. Audition information and sign up sheets are available in the choir room. For questions, see Kelly Parmenter.

On April 23, AHS’s Amnesty International and the social studies department will sponsor Bring Your Parent To School Night. The evening will focus on the election process in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. in the AHS Theater with a viewing of “A Hell Of A Nation,” a documentary that shows how elections were conducted after the Taliban fell from power. After the attendees will hear Muhammad Noorzai, president of Denver’s Muslim League, speak about democracy in the Islamic world.

The third annual Art Attack entries will be on display April 17-21 in the theater hallway. The reception and announcements of Best of Show will take place on April 17 at 7 p.m in the cafeteria.

Columbia Scholastic Press Association recently revealed the results of the top awards given to publications at its annual scholastic convention in New York City. Three Golden Circle Awards were given to Arapahoe’s yearbook staff. The awards are first in Sports Spread, second in Opening and Closing Spread Design and honorable mention in Sports Writing.
