Tyler Hansbrough plays basketball for the University of North Carolina.  As a senior, he is the 2006, 2007, and 2008 ACC Conference Player of the Year.  He was also named 2006 ACC Freshman of the Year.  Before playing for the UNC Tarheels, he attended Poplar Bluff High School in Missouri.  Because of his great accomplishments, Hansbrough’s number 50 jersey will be retired when he graduates.

            “I’m not one of those guys that want to come out and score 40 every game.  I just want to be a solid player.  Ultimately, what I want is for our team it come out and win in a tough place,” says Hansbrough.

            Ryan Troyer is a freshman at Garaway High School.  He, too, plays basketball.  Though this is his first year, he will be playing JV and Freshmen basketball.  Ryan also golfs for Garaway.  In this past year, the golf team went to state, and Ryan got to be a part of that.  They ended up winning the State Championship for 2008
