Intramurals take place during lunch periods 6A and 6B. They are designed to get kids involved in sports who wouldn’t normally play sports. This year we had a great turn out. Although a certain team has won four of the seven sports that have been played so far this year, that has not discouraged students from signing up. “To date we’ve had 62 teams which totals almost 300 students participating,” said Mr. Ditmars. So far there has been waffle ball, kickball, ultimate Frisbee, dodgeball, cornhole, badminton doubles, 3 on 3 basketball and volleyball. The team of Greg Moomaw, Mat Hochstetler, Spencer Festi, Cole Zahner, Brennan Mullet and Javen Troyer are the reining whiffleball, kickball, ultimate Frisbee and dodgeball champions. Mr. Taggart and Mr. Felton won in cornhole. Gabe Elmore, Max Zigenbush and Spencer Festi won badminton doubles. Three on three basketball was won by Matt Hochstetler, Hunter Conkle and Spencer Festi. So I encourage you to sign up for the next intramural on the wall in the gym.
