The Laurelbrook School property consists of several overlapping but distinct sections. First, close to State Route 443 is the nursing home and retirement home area. The 50-bed nursing home was opened in the 1950's and has been continuously operated by the institution ever since. Across a parking lot from the nursing home is the institution's church building. Near it is the McKee Center Building used today for teaching CNA's, housing guests, and teaching music and home economics. Within a short distance is the fire station, home to Rhea County's 770 fire company. On either side of this complex of buildings are five retirement homes leased to couples who wish to help an educational institution and to be a part of a program dedicated to training young people the way the Lord asks them to be trained.

The second area across a creek valley from the nursing home is the school area. Closest to a walk bridge spanning the creek valley is the girls' dormitory. Next to it is the cafeteria building, which as the name implies houses the school cafeteria. But the building also houses the offices of the institution president, the chief financial officer, and the board chairman. On the opposite side of the cafeteria building from the girls' dorm is the boys' dorm, the main classroom building (which also houses the purchasing office, staff commissary, walk-in refrigerators and freezer, a steam cannery, and maintenance storerooms. The main institutional auditorium where graduations and alumni gatherings are held is a part of the classroom building), and a vehicle maintenance facility. Behind the shop is the water treatment plant.

A third area comprises the staff homes. These are scattered throughout much of the remaining acreage. Near these are the fields and the garden area. The building housing the campus elementary school and apartments is located in a staff residential section.

Last, there are the forested areas complete with waterfalls, “canyons”, and trails. This area also includes two stone quarries, one of which is leased to the Majestic Stone Company. On the edge of this area are the homes of various members of the Zollinger family and their relatives. Part of this area is devoted to the Ed Zollinger Memorial Park, which has a picnic pavilion and a lodge for overnight guests. These park facilities are on lease to the institution and used by school groups as a part of the overall program.

The Laurelbrook property is a beautiful mountain area where students and staff and guests can find God in His handiwork.
