According to LCHS' Principal, Mrs. Keefe, the high school will begin taking a lunch count during first period.  Teachers will have lunch slips to list which entree 1, 2, or 3 a student wants. 

Each classroom will have the menu for the week so students can see for themselves what is going to be served.  Also, if students are going to eat an extra item such as a hamburger, teachers will also indicate that in their lunch counts. 

The system may sound 'elementary' to some, but when you are the student wanting a hamburger at the C Lunch time and they are out, well it doesn't sound so 'elementary' any more does it?  Matter of fact, the idea sounds great!  It is about time!
