On March 4th, Rhode Island voters took part in the democratic process. After suffering from a slew of losses to opponent Barack Obama, Hilary Rodham Clinton broke the streak and won Rhode Island, Ohio, and Texas. The victories put Clinton back on track for the Democratic Party's nomination for the presidency of The United States; if she had been defeated, Obama would have essentially pushed her from the race.

Previously this month, Clinton had campaigned in Rhode Island. where she visited Rhode Island College, the Atwood Grill in Johnston, and El Paisa in Central Falls.

Clinton was aware that Rhode Island is a necessary state to win. “This little state has a big voice on March 4 to help choose the next president,” claimed Clinton at a speech at Rhode Island College.

Clinton won Rhode Island despite being outspent on advertising by Obama. The wins in Rhode Island, Ohio and Texas put her campaign back on track. However, she will need to continue the progress she has made if she wants to win the election.

After the victories, Clinton hinted at a shared ballot. She said, "That may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."

Though Obama still holds more delegates, Clinton’s position is much better than is was previously. Clinton has fifteen states and looks prepared to challenge Obama for the Democrat nomination.
